What better way to start off a TOTS prediction than with the legend that is Buffon. The 38 year old keeper proved throughout that he still has what it takes to play at the top level. He broke the all time record in Serie A for minutes without conceding and only actually conceded on 18 occasions throughout the course of the year! Juventus will really struggle to replace when he retires.
Defenders
Miranda - CB - 85 OVR
To start off what can only be described as an insane defence is Miranda who played helped Inter to the third best defensive record in the division and what looks to be 4th position. The Brazilian defender has just one goal and two assists to his name however his defensive performances is what we are acknowledging for this TOTS item.
Andrea Barzagli - CB - 84 OVR
When you say Serie A CB's Chiellini instantly comes to mind but it has been his defensive partner which has stood out for Juventus this season. Just like Miranda he may not offer much in the attacking side of things with just the one contribution for the old lady with instead it being his defensive performances week in week out which stand out.
Kalidou Koulibaly - CB - 79 OVR
Once again we have another defender included due to what he manages defensively for the side which in the most part should be the case. Thankfully in TOTS it usually is and with no attacking contributions this year it says a lot about Koulibaly's defensive ability. When you talk about upcoming French defenders you think about Laporte, Varane and Zouma but Koulibaly could easily join that list.
Alessandro Florenzi - RB - 79 OVR
There are only really a handful of wingbacks which stand out in FIFA and Florenzi was one of those without a TOTS so with one he looks to be among the best in the history of FUT. Just imagine how deadly a wingback with 90+ pace, 90+ shooting and 85+ defending will be! He has seven goals and three assists for Roma alongside an impressive defensive record.
Midfielders
Lorenzo Insigne - LW - 82 OVR
Napoli have shown what they are capable of this season and although they have been unable to keep up with the Juventus dominance to pick up 73 points from 35 games is an impressive tally. A lot of that has been down to the amount which they score averaging just over two a game. Insigne has chipped in with 12 of those goals along with assisting another 9.
Miralem Pjanić - CM - 84 OVR
It seems hard to believe that should Pjanic pick us a TOTS this year it will be his first in the history of FIFA. The Bosnian midfielder has been a big name in Italy for a few seasons now since making the move from Lyon and is now plays a vital part in the heart of Roma's midfield. He picked up nine goals and six assists but apparently not the 4* skills which many believe he deserves.
Paul Pogba - CM - 86 OVR
Believe it or not I am not actually the biggest fan of Pogba, yes he is a good player however should he make the switch the either the BBVA or the BPL I honestly feel that he will struggle. The Serie A style suits him well and thus staying there would probably be the best option for him. He has shone once again there this year with 8 goals and 8 assists which lets him walk into the side.
Mohamed Salah - RW - 80 OVR
There were a few players which could have picked up this position however with 12 goals and 5 assists it became very hard to ignore the Chelsea loanee. Should he receive a spot in the official TOTS I would expect to see the Florenzi - Salah link to be abused a lot with them both being outstanding items in terms of FUT.
Forwards
Gonzalo Higuaín - ST - 86 OVR
It's not often that you see a player find the net on 30 occasions in a season but that is exactly what Napoli's deadly Argentine striker managed. As you can imagine that makes him the top goalscorer in Italy by a massive 14 goals. He has picked up four in forms and a winter upgrade which should result in his TOTS item being around a 94 rating with 99 shooting, impressive.
Paulo Dybala - ST - 81 OVR
Another Argentine now and although he can't compete with the heroics of Higuain Dybala has been outstanding throughout helping to lead Juventus to yet another title with 16 goals and six assists to his name. At only 21 years of age he has developed himself as one of the main players in Serie A and because of this various clubs from all over Europe are chasing his signature.
Substitutes
Samir Handanovič - GK - 84 OVR
Had it not have been for Handanovic who has saved Inter numerous points over the course f the season I do not think that Inter would have secured European football this year, at least not automatically. He has played a massive part in Inter claiming the third best defensive record in the division, beaten by only Juve and Napoli. Samir's performances have already been noticed by EA after receiving a winter upgrade and two IF's. Both keepers were straight forward selections here.
Francesco Acerbi - CB - 76 OVR
Outside of the top sides Sassuolo have been one of the most impressive sides this season, currently sitting 7th in the table. A lot of this success can be put down to the defensive record they have which has seen them concede 39 goals in 35 games. Acerbi has been at the heart of that defence and has also chipped in with four goals up the other end. Maybe not as attractive to play with on the game but he definitely deserves his spot.
Claudio Marchisio - CM - 89 OVR
I think that without the MC Item which Marchisio picked up his inclusion in this side would have been heavily debated however the fact that he is in will stand for a lot. Don't get me wrong Marchisio has done well this campaign however I believe his chances significantly improved after MC.
Borja Valero - CM - 82 OVR
Don't get me wrong, both the Serie A players included in TOTS MC deserved to be there in a sense however poor Borja Valero can feel very hard done by. Hopefully justice is done during the Serie A side with the Spaniard playing superbly throughout with Fiorentina He may only have 4 goals and six assists to his name but he provides so much to the side as a whole.
Alejandro Gómez - LW - 77 OVR
Gomez is the first player which I feel can be debated in this prediction thus far with the side in general selecting itself for the most part. With that being said Gomez has had an excellent season scoring seven and assisting another six which for a team down in 13th is quite impressive really.
Josip Iličić - CF - 79 OVR
The player which ultimately took Valero's spot was Ilicic who also played a big part in Fiorentina's season with 13 goals and 6 assists to his name. He will be a direct re-release of his MC item when he picks up his inevitable spot in the side.
Mauro Icardi - ST - 79 OVR
Although Icardi may not have been quite as impressive as last season he has still been good. Once again it appears to be the Argentine strikers which are performing in Serie A with Icardi sitting on 15 goals for the campaign alongside the already mentioned Higuain and Dybala.
Reserves
Kostas Manolas - CB - 83 OVR
When it comes to FIFA Manolas is pretty much my go to CB so potentially this could be a slightly biased selection. He has had a good season in a year which has seen Roma battle for second position alongside Napoli however is probably on the fringe of this side. 50/50 in a sense but with 23 players I think he just about makes it.
Sami Khedira - CDM - 83 OVR
I don't really understand why Real Madrid let Khedira go as for me he is one of the best at what he does. Either way it has resulted in an outstanding signing for Juventus. He has helped them towards conceding only 18 goals as well as scoring five and assisting three for himself. All in all it has been a good season for the German defensive midfielder.

If El Shaar had played enough games we probably would be seeing him in this position however instead we have Bonaventura who made to switch from CM to LM and has not looked back since. He has developed to be one of Milan's main players and with six goals and seven assists to his name should result in him picking up a TOTS.

The Colombian striker scored on 15 occasions which makes him joint third in the standings.
